Heat from within

Reformer and mat pilates under infrared light. Fifty minutes that build real strength, loosen everything and leave you glowing.

  • 34°C infrared room
  • 2 studios, reformer and mat
  • 50 minute classes
  • Ember grip socks included

Why infrared?

Infrared panels warm your body, not the air around it. Muscles soften sooner, every stretch reaches a little further, and the room feels like late afternoon sun. You leave lighter than you arrived.

Deeper range, sooner

Warm muscles and connective tissue lengthen more easily, so you reach full range earlier in class.

Circulation that lingers

Infrared warmth boosts blood flow during class and helps you feel looser in the days after.

A room that slows you down

Low amber light, no mirrors facing you and a steady 34°C. Most people leave quieter than they arrived.

Seven ways to burn

Every class is fifty minutes, in the reformer studio or the mat studio. Scroll through the heats and pick the one that suits your day.

Your first fifty minutes

  1. Arrive 10 minutes earlyCollect your Ember grip socks, leave your things in a locker and step into the warmth.
  2. Get set upIn the reformer studio your instructor sets your springs, footbar and headrest with you. In the mat studio they lay out your mat and props.
  3. Warm through the footworkThe first ten minutes let the infrared heat settle in while you find your breath.
  4. Flow, hold and shakeStrength work in straps, on the long box and kneeling. Every move has a gentler option.
  5. Stretch in the glowA long final stretch when you are at your warmest, then showers and a cold drink.

Clay walls. Rust linen. Amber light

A reformer studio with twelve machines in two rows and a mat studio next door, with clay walls, smoked oak, rust linen and a single arch of warm light. Showers, towels and Ember grip socks are waiting for you.

Choose your heat

Ember has two studios: a reformer studio and a mat studio. Every class runs for fifty minutes. What changes is the pace, the hold and how warm the room gets.

Before your first class

Is infrared pilates like hot yoga?

No. Hot yoga heats the air, often above 38°C. Our infrared panels warm your body directly while the room stays at around 34°C, so it feels like sitting in the sun rather than a steam room.

I'm new to pilates. Can I join?

Yes. Ember Mat is the gentlest place to start, or try Slow Burn or Ember Reformer in the reformer studio. Your instructor will set you up before class, and every exercise has a gentler option.

What's the difference between the two studios?

The Reformer Studio has twelve reformer machines that add spring resistance to every move. The Mat Studio uses your own body weight with small props like bands, balls and light weights. Both rooms are warmed by infrared panels, and your membership works in either.

What should I wear and bring?

Fitted workout clothes and a water bottle. Grip socks are required on the reformers; your first pair is included in the intro offer and more are available at reception.

Is it safe if I'm pregnant or have a condition?

Please speak to your doctor first and let us know before booking. Cool Down runs without infrared heat and is often the best place to start.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel up to 12 hours before class for a full credit. Inside 12 hours the class is used, so a waitlisted client can take your place.
